Teaching Artist

Having taught since 2000 at more than a dozen schools in the San Diego area, Ilana brings a wealth of teaching experience to World Music and creative movement expression in the Schools. Outside of California, Ilana taught Afro-Brazilian and Afro-Cuban rhythms in Andalucia, Spain, during the years 2004 and 2005.

Performing Artist

Ilana works as a professional percussion in Afro-Latin ensembles and as an accompaniest at corporate music events.  She is passionate about Afro-Cuban, Afro-Latin Jazz, and is often invited as a guest artist at live  Samba, Reggae, Pagode and other live Brazilian entertainment events.

Event Production

Over the last 20 years Ilana has produced events ranging from corporate dinner entertainment to downtown Mardis Gras street parties. She combines the best music, dancers, djs and staff to create experiences that delight the senses, from lighting to the unique cultural flavor mix that is her trademark.
